Every Hoopers Academy Basketball session begins with a restorative circle in which coaches and athletes gather in the center of the court, check-in, and participate in an activity that strengthens team-building, social-emotional awareness, and conflict management.

Conditioning as well as strength and fitness training are integrated into every Hoopers Academy session. Athletes engage in dynamic warm-ups that prepare their bodies and minds for active movement in and around the basketball court.

Player development is our primary focus when it comes to athletes training at Hoopers Academy. Fundamental skillsets such as dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding, boxing-out, setting screens, and communicating on the court are explicitly taught through scaffolding, modeling, and specially-designed drills for each athlete.

Every Hoopers Academy session is planned and designed to allow athletes to work on fundamental aspects of the game while also applying those skills through structured and competitive game play.
